Thedsldevice.domain_not_set.invalid Florida Supreme Court disciplined three Miami-Dade County litigators.
While two were suspended, one received disciplinary revocation and must wait several years before seeking readmission to the Florida Bar.
Coral Gables attorney
Alexander John Michaels
received a six-month suspension and is required to send letters of apology to four assistant state attorneys. He will remain on probation for three years following his suspension.
A bar complaint said Michael "engaged in ongoing disrespectful, disruptive, contentious, and unprofessional behavior, requiring the court to admonish him on numerous occasions" during a three-day probation hearing" before Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Christina Miranda.
With prosecutors, the complaint said he "engaged in name calling, made unfounded and scandalous accusations of misconduct against the prosecutors, raised his voice, and used foul and profane language."
The court granted Miami litigator
David Michael Goldstein
's petition for a disciplinary revocation on trust account violations. He will be unable to practice law beginning March 4 and cannot seek readmission for five years. Disciplinary revocation is tantamount to disbarment.
Sonia Yvette Amador
of Miami was suspended indefinitely after the high court found her in contempt for noncompliance after she failed to reply to bar inquiries about complaints.
